Presentation of the INES Strategic Research Agenda (28 March 2006, Madrid)

The INES Strategic Research Agenda is to be presented at the CDTI auditorium (C/Cid, 4 Madrid) from 9:15 to 14:00 on 28 March. Consult the programme and register free here.

INES (Spanish Software and Services Initiative) is the Spanish Technological Platform in the field of software systems and services and constitutes a network of scientific and technological cooperation integrated by relevant technological agents from the area (companies, universities, technological centres, etc.).

The Morfeo Community will be attending the meetings. It is a member of the INES initiative and aims to be the place where the development projects of INES-associated components based on an open software system are hosted.

Morfeo at the 2nd Internacional Conference on Open Software, Malaga, 2006

Telefónica attended this conference held from 15 to 17 February and organized by the Regional Governments of Andalusia and Extremadura, where it presented some of its open software initiatives.

Juan José Hierro, Telefónica I+D’s Director of IT Platforms, presented the MORFEO Community at the “Projects Developed in Open Software” theme session. Download the presentation here.

Additionally, an interview with Álvaro Sainz-Pardo, Telefónica Empresas’ Associate Director of the Department of Business Performance Management Solutions, was published in the official journal of the conference, explaining his view of the application of open software in the business world and outlining the Morfeo community’s goals.
