Special session of OSS training for SME’s at AIMME


Tomorrow April 20th, Morfeo Competence Centre presents a special session of OSS training for SME’s. In the session, hosted by AIMME, four fundamental courses about OSS are going to be presented by Andrés-Leonardo Martínez-Ortiz. For each of them, SME’s can solve their questions about the online training and to discuss how to apply these experiences on daily SME’s activities.
The course, availables at Morfeo online Aula, are:

  • Introduction to OSS, covering licenses, collaborative development and the main characters of OSS movements.
  • Migration to OSS technologies: copyright issues, applications and where to find them (forges, repositories, etc..), migration planning and success cases.
  • A GNU/Linux Desktop – MOLINUX: covering installation (including specific installation modes as CDLive, virtual machine), using and mastering this GNU/Linux distribution.
  • OSS Development Model: covering forges, communication tools, agile development, software version control, ticketing and communities management.

If you want to participate, come with your laptop. The following is the agenda of the session:

  • 09:30 – 10:00: Presentation of Morfeo’s training program for SME’s. By Santiago Bonet

  • 10:45 – 11:30: Migration to OSS. By Andrés-Leonardo Martínez-Ortiz
  • 11:30 – 12:00: Coffee
  • 12:00 – 12:45: A GNU/Linux Desktop: MOLINUXBy Andrés-Leonardo Martínez-Ortiz
  • 12:45 – 13:30: OSS Development Model. By Andrés-Leonardo Martínez-Ortiz
