F2F meeting of the W3C Web Application Formats working group

Telefónica I+D is organizing a face-to-face meeting of the W3C Web Application Formats working group (WAF). This meeting is to be held on October 24th, 25th and 26th.

The WAF WG is intended to the standardization of languages that simplify the development of web applications and it is under the scope of the “Rich Web Clients Activity“. The most remarkable languages that are being standardized are XBL 2 (devoted to behaviour redefinition, adding-up and overriding of XHTML tags) and a declarative format for applications and user interfaces (DFAUI). Telefónica I+D is contributing to this group with the language used in MyMobileWeb to specify a mobile user interface. Other active members of this group are Opera, Google, Nokia and RIM.
