Next Thursday, on 26th March 2009 it takes place in Madrid the II Morfeo general assembly composed of all the Community members.
The Morfeo’s General Assembly is the highest representative organisation inside the Community. It deals with the evaluation of all the activities in the Morfeo’s Community. It is the responsible for approve the annual Activity Report and the Morfeo’s Strategy Plan, both of them presented by the Manager Committee.
In the assembly will take place the presentation of the Community main results during 2008: new projects, project results and new members. In this way, during the event it will be defined the collaboration strategies for this year, some initiatives such as Open Marketplace Morfeo project and Formation Morfeo and also the Iberoamerica Morfeo network. The assembly represents a really perfect opportunity to know how the Community is and establish contacts for future collaboration.
The Morfeo Community is an organization consists of big, medium and small companies, universities, Investigation Centres and the Administration that explore new open source business opportunities. Morfeo constitute a social network around the actors involve in I+D+i projects.
The Morfeo’s Assembly will be celebrated in the EOI which was fundated in 1955. In 1997 it has been converted into a public foundation attached to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Turism. During these years, it has formed more than 50.000 directors and businessman by means of management technical and business organizations’ programs. This could contribute to the Spanish economy development. 50 years later, EOI still believes in the innovations and new technologies. It offers business answer that demands sustainable development issues, ethic-ecological business and more social responsibility.

- Morfeo Base: defining relationships between industry and OSS initiatives, communities and social entrepreneurships.
- Morfeo Network: how collaborate with Morfeo Iberoamerica Offices.
