It has been created the Iberoamerica network office

The Morfeo Community is a social network formed by institutions interested in consolidating the open source in the business field and in the public administration. The objective is establish some collaboration bases between companies, universities and open source communities as to I+D+i projects to create business opportunities where all the community members could profit.

At this time, it has been created the Iberoamerica network with the incorporation of the Brazil Morfeo Office and the Cono Sur Morfeo Office (Argentina). The setting up of this new network could improve the Community’s common actions and help to search for the open source projects interests. So with this integration, as well as the Morfeo Community is in Spain and Europe, now is in Iberoamerica too and it can make possible to extend and improve more and more the main objectives

The direction of the Brazil Morfeo Office consists of Marcelo Braço y Francisco Coutinho, whereas Gerardo Renzetti is the responsible of the Cono Sur Morfeo Office. Nowadays, Brazil is one of the most emerge scenario in open source software. The Morfeo office establishment pretends to be a local ideal to the Morfeo’s action which helps to fortify local economies. It contributes to create wealth and social welfare. The Cono Sur office has the headquarters in Argentina, however, its area of operations is Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile too. The Cono Sur strategy is carry real politics through the open source software positioning as a pillar for the technologic develop.

Next Thursday, 26^th March in the II Morfeo Assembly that it takes place in Madrid in the Escuela de Organización Industrial (EOI) situated in Avenida Gregorio del Amo 6, it will be presented the two new offices in Brazil and Argentina. Moreover, the assistants to the event could know the new offices interventions and objectives.
